The media and others are attempting to find blame for all the problems in the younger generations and quite frankly, are doing a terrible job at it. There has been violence since the beginning of time -- and in many nations/civilizations, this violence was worse than now (and there WASNT any video games or rappers to influence them). The fact of the matter is that people are influenced by everything around them, and if it wasn't video games or rap negatively effecting your kid, they'd find something else to blame it on. Mostly, its parenting. Parents today continue to get worse and worse, and until we can help end that, kids are going to make wrong decisions. Plus, i think every kid grows up loving santa claus, but it has nothing to do with his weight. i never ate and ate because santa claus was fat and i wanted to be him? No kid chooses to be fat because they know someone else is fat, there is other more important factors leading to obesity and it has to do with food industries and parent's choices to allow kids to eat whatever they want. Children and even teens are impressionable and its about time that each and every parent and adult takes responcibility for shaping the generations to come. It is our job to take our knowledge and experiences to help prevent the same mistakes from occuring in the preceding generations.

Wouldn't doubt it with some of these games... and songs...
I mean, I listen to some rap, but not the bad stuff... like my two favorite rap songs are Sorry, You can blame it on me, and Where Is The Love? Which are both really good, but some of it... it's just terrible.
Video games... I have no doubt... some of them, with the shooting and everything... it's terrible. That's why I play video games like... Harry Potter and Ratatouille and SpongeBob... lol! But we should see younger kids playing more of those kinds of games and less of these ones where you go around killing people and all the violence and everything.

Just white ppl tryna find someone to blame for their kids (who prolly more then likely listen to heavy metal/rock)reason for shooting up schools. All these ppl that think that should look in the mirror...Kids can buy this stuff if its not with their money or is not rated for kids...So how are they getting it...And if so how come they dont kno tht they are listening to this or play these types of games...Lack of parenting

Nevermind those other studies and articles and such explaining the POSITIVE effects of these things, no just because this kid played GTA and likes Rap, means their was a correlation between his massacre and these things. nevermind he was on LSD and had abusive parents!
