I was the same way. The only thing that ever helped me was birth control...but I'm not sure how your parents or doctor would feel about you taking that. I was about 18 when I finally started taking it.

When you get bad cramps you can use a hot water bottle or heat pad to help with the pains and use a painkiller, you can buy some that are especially for period pains. You can still have a bath, it shouldn't make the water bloody unless you have a heavy bleed or are in the bath for a long time.
Hope this helps.

I've heard the "Head -On" works great if you rub it on the area that hurts so bad. I really feel your pain. I used to get them on Day 2, the day I flowed the most.
Some girls prefer Pamprin to Midol. Try the "Head-On". If your cramps are really bad for over 3 hours, see a doctor. Any more is too long. Use a hot water bottle too. Fill it with HOT water about 3/4 full. Get better!! :(

well i watch Tyra Banks all the time and i absolutely love her. She does some pretty gutsy shows and a recent show she did was on womens health. She came up with "the 4 prong attack of the cramp" and here r the steps:
1. Take tylenol or ur choice of pain reliever
2. use heating pad
3. hot tea or another hot beverage
4. warm bath( wouldn't work 4 u this step)0
Hope this helps! if not talk to ur doctor or see a gyno- for birth control.

buy a heated blanket or stuff a sock with beans or rice and microwave it. then put it over the area right under your stomache but above your pelvis. it may sound like torchuer, but exercising dailly before, during, and a little after your period starts and ends will lessen cramp pain nd make cramping occur less often. sleep a lot and try to relax. stress and other such emotions can also make cramps worse. good luck.
oh, by the way, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! you have to get a doctuer to look into this issue. although painful cramps can be genetic, it casn aslo be a sign that your uterouse is attached to another organ. this is a painful problem and leaving it be can only make such a situation worse. if it is attatched, you may not beable to have children and you'll have to have surgery to have the organs seperated. my aunt had this problem. she couldn't have kids and ended up adopting two children.

okay, so... first of all, you can take a bath. the water pressure keeps the menstral fluids from being excreted into the bath water. secondly, try smaller tampons. and third, painkillers can help (you have to find what works best for you though) or if you take some sort of heating unit (beit a heating pad, a hot water, or one of those temporary heating pads that you can buy in the pharmacy)
Another thing. birth control is an option, BUT there have been cases where it causes problems later in life. try that as a last resort and only if your doctor and parents agree

warm compress on the side that hurts and take some tylenol be sure to follow directions- if you shower and clean private area real quick the flow will stop for a few minutes so you can take a bath, after you nclean the area close the water drain and fill tub you don't have much time but you may have about 15 minutes

Tampons are really easy to use, sweet, and it is worth it to be able to use them. I really recommend taking some time to read the insertion instructions and practice a bit, because they are so convenient. You don't have to change them as often as pads, and they let you do things like swimming and bath-taking.
Anyway, you could alway try some aspirin, advil, tylenol, or whatever. Sometimes a nice heating pad or hot water bottle does wonders, too.
Anyway, I hope you feel better!

Take a couple of OTC pain relievers and put a heating pad on your abdomin.
Getting your abdominals strong will also minimize cramps. Consider working out on a regular basis. I've been doing an abdominal workout for a few years now. I don't suffer from cramps anymore.

If you go on birth control that will help you a lot and make you regular.
Also I suggest taking Pamprin or Midol. That use to help me a lot.
Try to drink a lot of water and eat healthy.
About the tampon you have to read the directions and relax before putting it in. It should go in even if you are a virgin.
Take care.
When you are older this might go away.
