Where are the most expensive apartments located in the US?

SF area is brutally expensive as is NYC, especially mid-town manhattan.

Well I live in the SF Bay area and it's pretty expensive here. Check out rent.com. I pay $1299/mo for a one bedroom and that's really, really LOW for this area.

New York City. Some apartments hit the $60,000.00 per month range.
