The odds are pretty low that another earthlike planet will co-evolve a species that resembles H.sapiens.
The odds that there is another eathlike planet are also pretty low There might be, maybe, a few tens of thousands in this entire galaxy (including the globular clusters).
You see bipedal, symetrical aliens on TV all the time, but that's because a few costumes are easy & inexpensively produced.

Since we have already found a few planets in a stars habitable zone, chances are good that we will find planets of supporting life. As for intelligent lifeforms, the story has yet to be told. However, there are billions and billions of stars out there, it would be a heck of a waste of space if humans are the only living beings in the cosmos. Since the universe is a rather orderly place then if we exist then some other form of intelligent life must exist somewhere in the cosmos.

The odds of life on another planet following all the incalculable twist & turns that life went through to by chance create us is beyond remote. I do believe there is life out there, but that it would look like us? That's human arrogance.

Because we only know of one planet with humans, all we may say with certainty is that there's a possibility.
For all we know, the odds of intelligent life may be one in (the number of planets in the universe) - and we're it. Any odds play based on a singularity has a huge margin of error.

the odds of another earth like planet are overwhelming. hopefully this will give you an idea to the massiveness of the universe.
there is around 80-150 billion galaxies in the visible universe. an average galaxy has about 400 billion stars. scientists think that most stars have planetary systems, most planets would have moons.
think about that. thats quintillion's of planets and quintillion's of moons (it could even be sextillions of planets and moons). the chances that atleast one of those are earth like is pretty overwhelming.

humans? -------- I'd say impossible. just look at all the different types of life on earth compared to the human race.
humans only live on earth..
the odds come in two flavors.
1. we (earth) are/is the only life we've ever found. so with that track record, the chances are 0
2. billions upon billions of stars each capable of having a solar system.... 5 planets average per system......... possibly twon in the Goldilocks zone EACH..............
thats billions upon billions of chances..............

the good news is there are a LOT of stars out there, not only in our galaxy but in the oodles (thats a scientific term) of galaxies around us.
the bad news is that the earth was subjected to rather a lot of unusual forces to make it hospitable.
its not impossible that there are other planets similar to the earth out there, in fact its likely.
close? pffft. no.
visiting our swamps and kidnapping hillbilly poachers? get real.
