Wait till after next election... and THEN I will tell you.

It's not feeling like freedom and democracy right now, and I can only PRAY that somebody gets elected that can save us... but I'm feeling doom creeping up on us.

Like B.Kev said... a Constitutional Republic

The Founding Fathers were careful to protect against a direct democracy. As Thomas Jefferson wrote:

"Bear in mind this sacred principle, that though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be rightful must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal rights, which equal law must protect, and to violate would be oppression."

Technically, we have a 'Federal Constitutional Republic.' 'Republic' being a form of representative democray.

It's corrupt, of course, but not to so great a degree as many other governments.
