Heres my question:
The variables x and y vary directly. When x = 12, y = 9. Write an equation that relates the variables.

You learned
y=Kx
So.
9=K(12)
Do that.
Plug your answer which will be equal to K into the original equation.

or y=x-3
either would work but there's not enough information.
