Hydrangeas are more for appearance than smell. They do not have a strong scent.

I had some a while back and I don't remember them smelling like much of anything.

I guess they have a scent but I never noticed it ,,For such a large pretty flower that is surprising but good for those that have allergies for alot of smells...

No,not any perfume at all.Instead of the big showy flower,try the Lace Cap variety.
