This was just a conversation I overheard these two people talking about. The guy was like "you get into a relationship to get married" and the girl was "no you don't!"

you go into relationship basically for companionship and or partnership... but love must bind both, it doesn't need to get married at once

not everyone wants to get married. at the beginning of relationships, I never had great expectations, I just tried to enjoy the person & get to know them. Even if it doesn't work out for forever, you learned a few things.

I suppose it depends on your age. Or your 'status' I guess you could say. If you are in college then you are probably just looking for someone to hang out with (or a little more, lol). But if you are like in your late twenties or early thirties then you are probably looking for 'the one'.

I say, just let it flow. Don't really look and you'll find what your looking for.

We each go in with different expectations, depending on alot of variables:
age
level of maturity
long term goals
past history
upbringing

and a zillion others

When I am in a relationship I expect respect, love, understanding and not to be criticized for just being me. =)
