It doesn't matter who the abuser is and who is the victim. What matters is that they get help and do what they can to co-exist in a peaceful and healthy relationship, and if they can't then cut their losses.

You hear this phrase all of the time, "A man should never hit a woman." Okay, I agree with that, but isn't the opposite true as well? I mean, just saying this alone seems to imply that it's alright for a woman to hit a man. And worse, it also implies that he is in no way entitled to defend himself! I mean, it's not really alright for anyone to be hitting anyone else, is it? Unless you are boxing or in some kind of martial arts class, why is it okay? The answer: It's not.
If a woman is abusing her husband she should be treated the same way as he would be if he were abusing her. She should be arrested. Some women can be just as tough as men, and even if they aren't that strong, abuse is still abuse.
Like others have said, if a man or woman is being abused (by their spouse or anyone else) they need to get out and get help.
Women wanted equal rights, and now that they have them, they all want special treatment. (Yes, I'm a woman- and I do feel this way about this situation)

It is exactly the same, and just as bad as when it is the other way round. The abused party should seek help, and to get out of the situaiton. The abusing party should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. There is NO excuse for domestic violence, not matter what your gender.

No abuse is acceptable, ever. Doesn't matter what kind, or who does the abusing. It's not on.
If you are the one being abused, get out. Just Go. It's hard to break the cycle but it's a question of saving your life and your reason. If you know someone who is being abused, help them get out.

It is just as much abuse as if a man was hitting the woman. Sometimes men are embarresed to say anything because it makes them seem weak but it is still abuse.

I feel the same way as I do when it's the wife getting abused. I think they should press charges and get a divorce.

It happens alot, you just don't hear as much about it and the guys don't call the police or run out and get a domestic violence petition as quick as the women do, I guess they're embarrassed by it all. I'd like to see that change, more men need to file charges on their wives for domestic violence and mental cruelty. If you have kids you need to get out of there and take them with you and go file a domestic battery complaint before she beats you to it, because she can get one on you with no proof or anything to back it up. Good Luck

Spousal abuse is just that. Doesn't matter who is doing the abusing. Get out regardless. It does happen.

It doesn't matter who is doing the hitting, there is no excuse for it. Get out of the relationship. If you have kids, take them with you to ensure their safety. You may think she wouldn't hit them but there was a time when you thought she wouldn't hit you too. You (and no one else) ever deserves to get hit for any circumstance!! If you leave now, that's one less time she will hit you! May God Bless You and Keep You Safe!!!

There is absolutely no difference. No one has the right to hit or hurt or raise a hand in anger to anyone else. It is still illegal and an act of violence. You can still call the police and you can still get counseling and support.
