How can i find the human resources phone number to a company i used to work for, if they are refusing to give?

it to me? as an employee am i not entitled to the human resources number? it is not on the company's website either.

I don't understand why they will not give out the number. Sounds fishy. Here my suggestion. Call another department that works closely with HR, such as payroll, benefits, leave of absence or legal and ask some one there for the phone number. Say something like, I'm not sure if I should be talking to you or Human Resources, maybe you can connect me to them. Don't identify yourself as a former employee. That might be why they won't give you the phone #. If you someone you used to work with is still with the company, try calling them for the phone #
