RE:
Has anyone conceived after having sex 5 days before ovulation?
I realize that sperm can live 3-5 days in the body, but I'm wondering if anyone here became pregnant having sex 5 days before their ovulation? Thanks!!

It is not very likely that you will conceive but God works in mysterious ways so you never know. There are a lot of ovulation calculators on the Internet if you are looking to get pregnant. If not, and your just wondering if you could be, then again, the chances are slim to none, but wait one week before your next period and take a home pregnancy test. That's the for sure answer. If you're really worried go and get a blood test done. They show up immediately after conception. :-)

There is a "window" of ovulation where you are fertile a few days out of the month (no more than 5 days). It is possible you could get pregnant before you ovulated...but not too far before. I am pregnant now and when I typed in all my info into a due date calculator, they told me I got pregnant on some day that I didn't even have sex! 5 days may be pushing it, but it is a possibility. maybe you will be one of those women who is an exception to the rule! Good luck to you!

Theres not a good chance it would happen this way. The best time to get pregnant is the 3 days before ovulation. Five days is pushing it. It would take some super sperm and perfect cervical mucus for it to live that long.

Its unlikely but it does happen. I think that sperm can live for up to 10 days which is really uncommon. If the woman's body's ph is more hospital than is common and also if the man's sperm is exeptionaly healthy. Its super uncommon but don't take chances with this!

Could. You can really only conceive a few days every month.

"anybody" on a planet of almost 7 billion people is a pretty large group.
So the answer is inevitably "yes".
That being said, one can bet strongly against it happening to you.
