Looks like a cockroach or a giant ant. Maybe entered into the house from an opened electrical outlet. Here are some pictures; it is around 2 inches long.

That looks like a mormon cricket.

I don't agree with the mole cricket idea. The forelegs are not the strong, heavy digging legs that mole crickets have. However, here is a link to an article about mole crickets that has some pictures.

It's a Jerusalem cricket. They generally live underneath the ground or under things like piles of leaves. They're not destructive or harmful (they can bite and it's painful, but no venom). They're just very ugly and scary looking.
