I have this game Far Cry, its a really fun game, but today its been giving these display problems. It runs fone, smooth framerate, nice graphics. Just these ugly black lines, some of the environments textures have fused to make these horrible blocks. It looks really ugly, these black lines look like strings in the game. Also, these patches of weird fuzzy colour which is unexplained. I just installed it today, and i get these problems a few minutes into the game. Before i installed it before, i never had such problems. So there is no problem with my processor or graphics card. But i had to use system restore. I wonder if its the display options i use or something, please help me. Calling all computer whizzes.

Depends is it up to date? The game is it patched up? Also did you check the Far Cry forums to see if this is game related or computer settings related? From what I understand far cry is one heck of a monster on most systems video cards, but it like most products didn't come out of the box well. Also seems like a standard direct x.? problem were you need to make sure you have the lastest adition of direct x installed I know were over 9.0 but could be 10.0 I just don't know, out of the loop on that one. But make sure your video drives, direct x, and far cry have the lastest additions. If thats not the case then check your settings in the video settings of the game, certain features are just not support so turn them ALL DOWN and see if that helps. If it does, raise them one at a time and see what the cause is......
