Right sorry, yet another question on the King V. Thanks for everyones input on my last question about the V but this time i want to know whats it like to restring and setup? Ive been on numerous forums UG etc and they say because of its trem its a bugger to tune along with the string changing process. So basically i want to know is the guitar in need of high maintenance? Thanks for any input, i really do appreciate it.

Thanks dudes/dudetes

Any guitar with a Floyd Rose trem is a pain in the butt when it comes to string changes. It will take a fair amount of time to change them, even once you get experienced with it. If you don't do a ton of diving it's not worth the trouble. So yes, it is a good bit of maintenance, especially if you go through a lot of strings.

Any guitar with Floyd Rose Tremolo is a pain to do yourself. Jacksons are notorious for being difficult to restring.

My JS30KV isn't that easy to put strings on and it's the basic fixed bridge model.

If you buy a guitar with tremolo I suggest you don't try string changes yourself. I tried to restring my Strat with tremolo and it took me 2 hours to get it back in tune.

In conclusion,Jackson guitars can be high maintenance, depends on which model you get.

Which ever one you get, make certain you get a sparkling set of pickups. i could in all likelihood choose for the Jackson... because of the fact ESP you're staring at, properly, it is not an ESP. this is an LTD, that's kinda like saying an Epiphone is a Gibson. they are in basic terms distinctive companies... and LTD's are no longer practically as good as ESP. I had one. It fell aside after some months. The Hardware tarnished after a pair months. i've got owned countless guitars over the years, and NONE of them had the hardware tarnish on me.... and that i've got had a pair of them for YEARS. the only one that has undesirable hardware, (different than the LTD) is my 85 Fender strat, and after 24 years, of direction the hardware will look slightly boring.
