PROS
Your data is safe from anything you can do with it such as accidenteley erasing it.

It is pretty inexpensive.

It is accesible from any internet accesible computer.

CONS
It is easier to acess-you should trust the company, but anyone who hacks into their computers hacks into YOUR data.

If the company goes out of business, your data has the potential to be lost.

Ongoing charges, after a while, the cost of the online backup may outweigh the cost of a new external hard drive.

If your internet connection goes down, you have no acess to your data.

My reccomendation- Buy an external hard drive, or if your computer burns DVDs burn DVDs and store them in another room away from your computer incase of a fire.

Hope I was of Help

Hello,

Pros:

- If your computer dies, you lose nothing.
- Great if you don't own a computer but want to store stuff for when you can access one.

Cons:

- Do you really trust the people storing your data? What country are they in? What are their privacy policies?
- Potentially expensive.

Please be careful uploading your personal details like your SSN, home address, and such, especially because you never know who's actually reading your content once it has been uploaded.

If you store your resume/CV online, leave your address off of it. You never know. Companies like Yahoo and Microsoft can be trusted, but you never know about some of the others.

Pros - someone is backing it up, so you shouldn't lose anything you store there. For a small amount of space it's inexpensive.

Cons - someone else has access to your data. Re-occurring expense. If the company goes out of business, you potentially lose your data or need to find some other way to store it.
