I am 5'3 and they say I am short. I like being short. I don't have to worry about finding pants long enough, just short enough, but I go to petite. My oldest daughter is almost 33 and she is 4' 11, and very petite, sometime has to ear out of girls clothes, but she is so cute and proportioned so well.
You are fine, especially if you are proportioned good enough.
Don't worry about it. People always have something to say. if you are fat, skinny, tall, or short and other. I love the fact that most guys are taller than us and we dont have to worry about that. It is kinda nice to have them look down at you and make you feel more girly amd woman like.====

This is what I found on the Little People of America site:
Little People of America (LPA) defines dwarfism as a medical or genetic condition that usually results in an adult height of 4'10" or shorter, among both men and women, although in some cases a person with a dwarfing condition may be slightly taller than that.
The article further explains about proportionate short people.
"In some circles, a midget is the term used for a proportionate dwarf. However, the term has fallen into disfavor and is considered offensive by most people of short stature. The term dates back to 1865, the height of the "freak show" era, and was generally applied only to short-statured persons who were displayed for public amusement, which is why it is considered so unacceptable today.
Hey...good things come in small packages!

There is no such thing as a "legal midget." You don't have the medical condition of dwarfism.
You're just short.
