IF he is a normal guy, you are someone to sleep with.

Every situation is different. But to best answer this we'd have to know how the 42 year old acts around the babysitter and vise versa.
If the girl is mature and professional about what she's doing, then he might treat her as an equal. Then he also might think about being romantic with her if that's the case.
If she's immature and childish, it's possible he'd treat her like a child and not think beyond that.
But then again their are adults who are very immature and it's possible he could be. So then he might feel more no matter what the situation.
With what you've said it's very hard to determine what the outcome could be. You would need to give more information.
Do they flirt with each other?
Is he single?
Does she like him?
Is she single?
Why are you asking?

It's hard to answer this without a lot of information.

Depends on the man AND the babysitter. Are you the babysitter? Do you dress and/or act in a way to make him want to look at you as someone to sleep with?

-an equal (a peer)
** No, probably not,, too young and immature
-someone he would like to sleep with
** Like to, maybe. Would sleep with, very unlikely... but some guys are just not into making good choices.
-someone more along the lines of a daughter-figure
** Very unlikely... unless he has known her since she was a kid. Many men that imprint on girls at a young age never see them as sexual, even when they are older (daughter syndrome). Natures way of keeping diversity I guess. I know women I have known since they were pre-teen never really get 'attractive' to me... I mean, I know they are attractive,, but,, just gives me the icky-shivers to think about doing anything with them.
** I think that about covers it.

Depends on how close you are!

Keep in mind that you are caring for his child, your probably doing this in his house, you depend on him for the money to watch his child, and you're so much younger and attractive than his wife!

Guys never stop being attracted to young, attractive, women.

The older we get the less we can do about it,as well as losing our manly profile!

Actually, you should get used to it and consider it a complement.

In a few ears you won't have to worry about over/under sex fathers.

Go Figure!

Depends on the guy and if you are hot. I wouldn't think he would see you as someone to sleep with. Maybe just some good eye-candy.

The second option sounds just about right. Trust me, no matter what the age, a guy will want to sleep w/ any hot 18 year old.

If she's got pigtails and a hiked up skirt then he probably wants to sleep with her......hell she could be dressed in a turtle neck and sweat pants and he would probably still want to sleep with her providing she's attractive.

If he's a normal person, he would see the babysitter as an employee.

I don't see the 18 year old guy who cuts my lawn as anything else.
