You know, as they age, their hearing and sight decreases, as well as the memory.

I try to help them out. Since I am a nice person.

They may have selective hearing Penfold has this, some old people lay on the "I'm old and bent what was that dear I'm getting old you know, I forget, what was that? (blank look) I'm 43 you know?"
They are pretending they can't hear. But they don't like being ignored do they? hmmmmm....

I not only help out the elderly but I also help take care of my own parents as well. Neither one of them are in very good health any more at all. I look at it this way, they took care of me for 18+ years and now it is my turn to care for them. I hope when I get there that my daughter will be there for me as well. So yes I do help out ALL elderly folks every chance that I get. No matter what I have going on, I will stop and help them out if I can at all.

I enjoy helping the elderly and whoever looks like they may need an extra hand, especially the older ones who need an item of the top shelve in the supermarket.

A little bit of kindness goes a long way these days.

Yes. I help older family & friends and folks I've gotten to know at a local nursing/retirement home, when they want or need me to.
I always try to remember to give them respect as an individual though and not assume that because they may be a little older that they are helpless. I'm 51 and I want to be treated with respect as I age.

That's very kind of you. Some of them get rather confused when it comes to computers and web cams and the like. When they get stroppy just give them a nice helmet full of hot chocolate and leave them to sleep in their bunker.

Yes, respect your elders. I am a senior, and if I can help anyone of any age, I will. It is the right thing to do.

I try to help anyone who needs help. Most seniors are pretty capable people but whoever needs help I try to lend a hand.
