Because im taking 3 AP this year, and my habit of procrastination, im staying up past 1 a lot, and it has made me very sleep deprived. When im at school, im like all drowsy, i can hardly stay awake, but yet i start hallucinating. I see things that arent suppose to be there, and sometimes I feel like im somewhere else. Once, I lost feeling in my arms and legs, as if they disappeared, or I had completely forgotten I HAD arms or legs. I had also forgot i was holding a pen. I guess this is an out of body experience, as I forgot I had a body. =/ I dont think the dreams I have count, as I consciously am aware its a dream(i dont do anything about it though), unless its some offly vivid dream.

Yes. It only happened 3 times in my entire life. The most memorable was when I was 17 in London. It was a weekend. I remember that I was feeling a bit tired from staying up late so after breakfast I decided to take nap before lunch. I laid down on the bed and it took me only a few minutes to fall asleep. I then fell into a semi-waking state. I could see myself on the bed with my clothes and realized that something was different. I felt light as a feather and I could float anywhere. Everything looked crystal clear which was strange since I had to wear glasses and even with it somethings looked hazy. The clarity was so sharp. I 'floated' towards the mirror to see what I looked like. Of course I can't see anything since I was not solid at all. So I floated above the body for awhile I realized that I don't want to go too far from my body since I was afraid I couldn't go back to it. Instead I wanted to verify if what I was experiencing was real of just some dream. So looked around to see if there was something I could see later when I was awake. I saw that there was a penny (Large penny before the current small size ones). I looked at the date and noted the location. I then 'awoke' from this state and immediately looked for the penny. I was awed by the exact location and date of the coin. I researched into the phenomenon that day at the library and understood the phenomenon as an 'out of body experience' ( I knew nothing about it before). I tried to duplicate the same experience several times and was unsuccessful.
I won't go into the other two times since it was more fleeting and not so spectacular. I might try it one more time.
This time I will be careful to go beyond the boundaries and find my self back.

Thank you for your Q. It triggered something in my mind.

I think everyone has these experiences, but tend to discount them as only dreams. Even if, they really feel real. I have them quite often, sometimes involving flying, and rare ones inwhich I actually travel through, what looks like a real neighborhood, and enter the home of someone to see if I can meet someone, and sometimes I do.. I believe that the spirit often leaves the body in one's sleep, and travels into the spiritual realm and connects with spirits, some of the living, some of the dead. I believe the reasons dreams can seem really real, is because they are, but in the spiritual realm.

I once had to be resusitated and then was in a coma for two weeks. If I were going to have an out of body experience, I think that would've been the time. Anyway, nothing happened except I lost two weeks during which I remember absolutely nothing.

I had one.

It was when I was a small child, maybe 8 or 9. I was laying on my bed then all of a sudden I rushed up beyond the clouds in seconds. then their was a mountain in front of me it was a brown rocky mountain, I saw my family tied up at the very top, so I climbed the mountain and when I got to the top the rope broke and they fell., after that the mountain I was on disappread and I was falling I went through the clouds and as I was falling I saw my house as I was falling I saw images of me crying of me being angry of future me and many other things. and I I finnaly reached my house and fell thrugh the cealing like a ghost and my body was laying down on the bed, anbd i slammed into my body and woke up sweating. and my heart was pounding

I think that was a sign from God telling me a time of greater sorrow and bitterness is Near, the scary thing was a couple years later that great sorrow came true. I went through a horrible time. to the point I thought what would hppin If i killed myself, But Also I saw the importance of the vision I had It showed me in what way I would come to god cuz later in my school life I was kicked out and sent to a behavior school cuz I was just a bitter angry dude, and I ended up having a teacher who also was a pastor. and God showed me through this turmoil iu went through for most of my life He will raise me up.

I saw myself sleeping one time and I walked over and lay down on myself, then I woke up right after. I still don't know if that was a dream or an out of body experience, but it was freaky.

I cut my left foot wide open swimming when I was about 7 or 8... anyway, I knew I had cut it b/f I had my foot out of the water. So, I told my grandpop, who was swimming in the creek, and he said to bring my foot out of the water to see it. Well, I did and when the air hit it, OUCH!!!!! It didn't hurt til then... well, he helped me into his house, across his gravel driveway and we proceeded to clean it out. The creek was muddy water. Anyway, Grandmom got a basin and alcohol and I had to turn away from her to let her pour the alcohol into the cut ( it was on the bottom of my foot)... I felt my spirit leave my body ascend through the floor of her second story and through the floor of the attic and finally through the ceiling of the attic.... and then, crash back through the ceiling, floor of attic, floor of second story and back to me lightly, like I would faint, vomit and die all at once. WORST feeling in my life EVER!!! I've had surgeries, had a baby, and concussions that weren't as bad, and no other out of the body experiences since then. I believe it was real, heck, I get cold all over thinking about it. I don't recall it often, b/c it was soo FREAKY.
