Some places give student discounts with your ID. Also go to the movies early, Matinee's are usually a few dollars cheaper then the regular show.

Get a job at a movie theater, or find an independent theater. Independent theaters (like the Twin Family Cinema where I live) normally have $5 matinees on weekends, if you get in before
5 p.m.

If you feel that you are a good enough writer why not get a job reviewing movies for a small community paper or movie website?

Some credit union will sell them to their members at a discounted price. Still have to pay, but not as much as you do at the door.

My suggestion is go to SearchAllDeals.com, and search "movie tickets", you should find good deals. Here is a direct link to the search result:

You can do what we did and corrupt a security guard. Make sure that you don't do it in broad daylight though.
