Yes, most of them would work on an advance. I let my friends borrow my games all the time. (I've got an 8 year old Gameboy pocket.) Logicly, the older games have to work on the next newest model, otherwise no one would buy a new gameboy since they would have to get rid of all thier old games. The oldest games might not work on the newst model though.

Yes. The Gameboy Advance is backwards compatible all the way to the original gameboy.

The DS, however, is only backwards compatible to the Gameboy Advance.

Yep! i have a gamebody advance and use original gameboy games, they work fine.

You definitely can!

On original games you can press left or right on the loading screen to set the colours (just a fun thing to do)

by original gameboy it only brings GB color into mind, gameboy advance can only play gameboy advance and gameboy color games.

no i really dont think you can i think that you have to have gameboy advance games all the gameboy games are different for every system

of course, I did all the time when I had one. The only system they are not compatable with is the Nintendo DS

Yep!&& BTW you can't play GBC or GB games on the DS.
