Im a patriots fan living in Washington DC and I know for a fact that Lawrence Maroney is stronger, faster, and all around better than Clinton Portis. Maroney is a better receiver, hits harder, and has better vision than the slowed down, scared running Portis. Let me know what you guys think

Any football player is only as good as the team that is around him.

Portis was great when he was with Denver, because Denver had a fantastic offensive line, serviceable QB and good wide receivers. The Redskins have..........Clinton Portis.

Maroney has a great team around him, but he isn't used much. Maybe Bill is going to keep him under the radar until deeper in the season, then pull the Maroney rabbit out of his hat?

When drafted, Maroney was supposedly the better of the two between him and Addai. So far, you would have to say Addai is the better back, I just gotta think the Patriots are saving Maroney for something?

I think you're wishful thinking. Maroney is much younger and SHOULD eventually be better, but he has proven absolutely nothing yet and Portis, who is having a very good season (MUCH better than Maroney's year) has a career full of credentials. The Pats are a great team, but you aren't automatically better JUST because you put on a Patriots uniform.

i don't understand why Westbrook might bypass that top, even in a keeper league, yet i might bypass with Tomlinson. That guy is a stud. Sorry to assert, Ronnie Brown isn't that good, i might stay remote from him. in case you do not want to take Tomlinson i might look at McGahee or Jackson. McGahee will do incredibly good at Baltimore, heck Jamal Lewis isn't that great and look what he did with Baltimore. Steven Jackson is going to be a learn at St. Louis for a at the same time as, so he could be good to. you frequently want to have a precise RB, no count number what, they're the anchors of a physically powerful FF team. Bush and Maroney does not be undesirable the two, skill studs in a twelve months or so. Take a precise RB first (Tomlinson, Jackson, McGahee, Maroney, Bush) and seek for a precise QB or WR as your 2d %.. The RBs are the place all the factors are, tremendously Tomlinson. RBs very own all the single season TD information if which capacity something.

You are right about that....Clinton Portis has not really ran the ball a lot as of late & Lawrence Maroney is just over all better

Maroney is not a bust...*L*...Hmm...maybe thats why the Pats are 0-9...*L*...NOT...Get real, Pats haters...He has been injured the past couple weeks, so he hasn't been able to be 100%...He's had mostly solid games...but when they have to shuffle between him and Kevin Faulk, thats what the Pats are gonna do to win...

What Belichick is doing is making damn sure the NFL respects Brady and Moss...and he's doing a damn good job of it...Brady has a bunch of receivers he never had before, so the Pats are obviously a pass first offense...Thats the only reason Maroney hasn't gotten as many carries as other RBs...

If Portis put as much time into his game as he does his post-game costumes, he might get the edge. But I'll take Maroney.

stats this year : Portis

Overall at this time, probably Marooney, but Portis is getting old. Portis was better at his peak. Pats never run the ball, so Marooney hasnt been given too many chances this year, also his injuries as well
