why am i blocked by kate lomax? kate! what did i do to you? i don't think i've ever even answered one of your questions. and i've certainly never been rude to you. and celtish blocked me for a minute too. i never answered his questions either! what gives?
has anyone else been blocked for no reason? does it bother you? i like to earn my blocks! lol.

The problem is that on this forum there are a couple of people (which I won't name here or else they/he will no doubt report me) who have multiple accounts, and they use these accounts to harass people and try to get thoughtful contributors' accounts deleted. Many, in response to this, and to protect their own accounts from this harassment have decided to block anyone whose account may seem the slightest bit "suspicious." Unfortunately, it sounds like your account was blocked even though you're not one of those trolls. It's just that the attitude of some of our best contributors is this: "it's better to be safe than sorry." Some members here have blocked over 100 accounts, in an attempt to keep trolls from harassing them. They don't want their accounts deleted. People like Kate (and others) are just trying to protect themselves. Perhaps once she is thoroughly convinced that your account is not a troll account, she'll unblock you.

Celtish blocked me aswell. I've been on his block list for a long time, and I have no idea why. Isn't it the anti-feminists that are usually complaining about feminists blocking them?
Not to say that he's the only one. There are a few.
Sarina:I have NEVER blocked you before, and you've blocked me. Are you lying or have you changed your mind within a time frame of 5 minutes or so?

I usually only block the truly annoying. At one point, the chipper admonishments that people should marry career women because they are "smart, witty, and great conversationalists!" (as opposed to boring, dumb SAHMs like me?) annoyed me enough to block one otherwise nice and intelligent young woman.
Sometimes, you just get sick of hearing crap like that. If none of your posts were offensive-by-default (as in, applauding one group of people or one choice, thereby insulting the other side.) then perhaps it's just a fluke. It may not seem fair, but she must have her own reasons. I know, the thought of someone taking my ideas the wrong way without asking me to clarify bothers me, too. I wish people that block me would just ask me to clarify my post, if it's only a miscommunication.

Kate Lomax is the only person who has me blocked. I have never answered any of her questions, nor have I spoken to her. I guess she likes her little world to be sterile of any conflicting thought.

I have blocked people spewing hateful / hurtful things to other's questions to ensure they don't have the opportunity to dump on me in the future.
Maybe that is what happened. Did you rant hard against someone?

YEA! those same people blocked me i think that they arent happy and if u get blocked 50 times you get banned from yahoo answers- yahoo has to do something about people like them

I was blocked by one woman for not pandering to her opinions, and by a couple of guys out of spite. It's really very irritating.
