My period was a bit early this month so I accidentally got a small stain on my fave white trousers!!! I made the mistake of washing them with warm water, although I did wash the majority of it out with cold water whilst I waited for the hot water. Now there's a pale stain left and I don't know how to get it out, it's not really noticeble because it's quite small and right underneath so you can't see it from the front or behind. But I still want to get the stain out so please give me some advice!

Have you tried Vanish on it? I find the soap bar works the best.

I found the best way to deal with those kind of stains, from experience is to soak over night in a really good soap powder i use Ariel and have never had a stain i couldn't get out, place in a bucket and leave, then put into washing machine and i think you will be surprised, good luck.

Try using Hydrogen Peroxide on the stain. You may have to use a bit more because the pants were already washed. Era liquid detergent is also good as a pre spot treatment. Rub it in, let it set, then wash your slacks in cool water. Blood stains must always be treated as soon as possible in order to get rid of them.

I too find vanish soap very good for most stains. However there is also vanish spray which you can try. The good thing about using vanish spray is that you apply it to a stained garment then pop the item in the wash as normal. Do first make sure, it is ok to use on the fabric.

You can buy stain removers for specific stains, i think they are called stain devils. You could mix some washing powder with water in a bucket , leave to cool and then add trousers.I have got stains out of white knickers like this.

Clorox Color safe bleach. Pour it direcgtly on the stain. It will bubble up as soon as it touches the blood. Then wash as normal. Check the stain before drying it.

I have had some unexpected periods in the past. This has always worked for me.

Definitely don't use bleach. I have had wonderful success using hydrogen peroxide on blood stains. Even if the stains are old, (as in less than 2 weeks) it always get the stain out. Goodluck!

DO NOT RUB BLEACH on it! That will burn the fabric. Always dilute bleach in water before putting clothes in.

Get a good brand name stain remover, read and follow the directions. There is a chance it'll still come out.

For a non chemical way - use milk. Soak the clothes in some full fat milk, ( something to do with the enzymes reacting) and then wash as per normal. Usually works better the fresher the blood.

I don't know what's the best way to remove the stain but in any case DO NOT BLEACH it!!! I have done so in the past on white top and it went yellow! So keep away from bleach

You could try putting an ice cube on it - towel underneath. This works best for fresh "oopses" especially on the just washed sheets. i hate when that happened....

I tried the peroxide thing once....really set the stain forever, won't try it again.
