I'm a Duck fan so naturally I think we could beat any of the top 5 teams :-) but if Kansas wins out I think we get bumped out of the #2 spot and end up spanking OSU in the Rose Bowl. I think we need LSU or Kansas to lose a game. I'd rather it be Kansas so the top 2 teams in the nation actually get to play this year. Sorry Kansas fans but they haven't proven anything to me yet as to why they deserve to be ranked where they are. I think LSU or Oregon would beat them. I think they can get past Missouri but I think OU will beat them and keep my ducks at #2...at least I'm hoping that happens! haha, we'll see....all they can do is win out and then it is up to the BCS (we all know how great that system is)
oh and to "Kicked out of the mental hospital" how tough is playing Mississippi St, Ole Miss,Tulane, Middle Tennesee, Louisiana Tech, and an overrated Arkansas team? Exactly, you can say the same there so you really have no leg to stand on when trying to pull that one off...sorry bro.
BOTH teams have played very tough competition but have had some easy games as well.

Well we would have to play the game to find out. I did not think that Stanford could beat my mighty SC Trojans, look what happened.
Then you are talking about a bowl game. The coaches have time to put in defense and offensive plays just for that game. The teams get a chance to practice for about two weeks before the game.
Therefore the teams get a chance to get those that are injured back.
Now since I am a PAC-10 fan I would be pulling for the Oregon Ducks no matter who they play as long as it is not SC.
I think Oregon is playing some of the best college ball around as of now and deserve to really be #1, but then that is partially the PAC-10 fan coming out in me.
I think that LSU has an easier schedule as I see they beat that power house called Louisiana Tech this weekend. I thing had Oregon played this weekend and won they would have been #1 today.
I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

It would be the best match up this season, in my opinion, but Oregon would still get beat...sorry, just my opinion. LSU has too much talent and has not played to the best of their ability all season and they are still 8-1 in the toughest conference in college football. If they played a perfect game, no penalty/ int's/ fumbles, I think you would see some teams get destroyed. They are the reason that they have been cutting these games so close. If they get the kinks out before post season, it'll be smooth sailing straight through the championship game, no matter who they play. Just too much talent, depth and a wide variety of ways to attack both on offense and defense. Again, I'm sorry if I hurt any feelings.

Anyone who thinks Oregon isn't #1 obviously has never seen them play. I am a Michigan fan so I have no bias. The offense that the Ducks run is pretty complex as far a college teams go. You never know if they are going to hand off, QB sneak, or pass plus the D is pretty strong and player to player they match up pretty well against LSU or any of the "unbeatens".

The SEC continues to beat each other up year after year, it is a tough division. I would have liked to the Ducks ranked higher than LSU. How is it LSU can come back to #1? Wait until Saban's boys have all graduated. Les Miles just has his talent that he is playing with. I would love to see UGA Bulldogs and LSU go at it. I believe Georgia would take that one! I would also like to see Dixon win the Heisman.
Ducks vs. LSU - I pick the Ducks!

If LSU wins out, I think that Oregon would make for the best match up in the title game. BUT if OU, Kansas or Missouri win out, Oregon will probably get jumped. LSU and Oregon are the two best college teams this year.

I think LSU would win.... We also have a nice rushing attack to match our passing game, and one of the stingiest defenses in the league.
But the only way to find out is to play the game.
Oregon has an easy schedule left. while LSU's schedule still includes Ole miss, arkansas, and the SEC championship.
LSU has a much more difficult schedule than the ducks.......
and I see the mighty ducks have beat some real powehouses this year, like Houston, Stanford, washington, washington ST.................whew im burned out.

The odds are against it. LSU plays much faster on both sides of the ball. Oregon would have a better chance of beating The Ohio State University.
