Is is Obama? I know that he will not wear an American Flag on his lapel.
His reason: People wear American Flags on lapel to signify their dedication, and he feels that the wearing of the flag is not what signifies dedication, but the effort we make to make America a better place to live (something in that order.)
My response to his comment:
Since when does Obama define what Americans should consider a definition of a representation, of what it means for me, or anyone else, when we wear an American Flag.
Send Obama a message: You lost my consideration of ever voting for you, you trader!
The American Flag represents the unifying of states under one form of government: The Federal Government.
What does Obama have under the tie-less shirt of his:
When ever I see him in public wear he reminds me of the President of Iran. That man never wears a tie, as well.
Obama and the President of Iran share the same mentality when it come to dress.

WRONG - It was the national anthem, during which it is NOT customary to have to put your hand on your heart like the Pledge.
He has never refused to say the pledge. Although, I wouldn't expect someone who probably gets all of his news about everything from right-wing talk radio and Fox News to have done his own research, much less have his points actually be factual and correct.

Wow..what a bad person they must be. Not saying the pledge. Maybe you guys should start pledging to help your fellow citizens and love your neighbours rather than worshiping a piece of cloth. Next time a baby dies because they are turned away from a hospital for no health insurance give the mom a flag. That will make it all better.

First, let me say that I am not a supporter of Barack Obama.
However, which of you have never spaced out and missed a cue to do something like this. Perhaps he was caught up in thinking about something like his family or what the flag means to him. The look on his face is quite pensive.
I've caught myself mentally caught up in the words and realized later that I was listening so intently to the message of that I didn't have my hand on my heart.
Give it a rest.

If you are going to say Obama, then you might want to go to Snopes. They had an article about Obama and the national anthem.

Personally, I would not judge a president or potential president based on something as trivial as this. You do not know the entire story behind it.
