I have found that when a question begins with "Should the Government...", the answer is almost always 'No."

Why on earth would you want to allow someone to control what people eat? Do you not believe that people are able to make choices without the big brother nanny state telling them what to do?

What would be next, limiting the purchase of a dessert item unless you can prove that you ate all your vegetables?

The best government is the least government!! We need more freedom, not less.

Should the government limit the number of times we have sex, the number of minutes a day we watch of TV, make a certain number of minutes we excercise a day manditory, force us to get 8 hours a sleep a night, bring back prohibition and ban alcohol? And, why not have them limit the number of children we can have, while you're at it?

Sheesh, just what we need. Laws dictating what we eat!

Everybody should be issued a punch card, and once you have all your punches, you can't have any more fast food for the month. seriously the government can't limit what people are eating. Good grief we are already complaining the government has it's nose in everywhere, but telling us what to eat. If people was to be fat and kill themselves with fast food, then so be it. We can only put the information out there and if they choose to ignore it, we have done what we can.

No, the government should concentrate more on what it really needs to do. like find a good President. Maybe guard the borders. They need to learn that they can't do what they have taken on. I can't imagine what a mess it would be having to report everything I eat to the government.

Well, today (seriously) I've eaten chicken, potatoes, and green beans for lunch, and lasangna and more green beans for supper. What about you? Wait, I have to tell the mayor what I ate. If the mayor doesn't know if it was OK, uh-oh, we have to contact the President!!!!!!!!!!

No. because the govern can't control every single person in the world any ways. People should be able to eat whatever they want whenever they want.but i think overweight people should cut down a lot of the fast food they're eating because that's probably WHY they are overweight.

Only if the citizens are fat, lazy and stupid...possibly from eating that very same fast "food."

NO! the very question shows where american society stands today.

None of that junk is food at all, it is MERCHANDISE, produced w/ the cheapest possible ingredients for...all together now...the benefit of corporations, at the expense of human health.

Today's lesson is over.

No way. Individuals should decide on their own how much fast food they eat.
