Is it true that for men when they shave their hair it grows thicker and larger than before. If it is the first time shaving is this true? Why does it get itchy and you seem to get a rash? How long does it take for it to grow back. I didnt use shaving cream just shaved.

It doesn't grow back thicker or larger. When you shave you cut the hairs down resulting in them becoming sharp and pointy, this is why many people believe the hair is growing back thicker. The length of time it takes to grow back is up to the persons hormones. The rash is due to pores opening on the skin on your face, and probably sharp pointy hairs rubbing against them, you need to use shaving cream to moisten the face or you are just going to give yourself alot of pain.

No, it does not grown back thicker. If you want to shave again, I suggest using Nair, you shouldn't get a rash. If you have a rash now, buy some Bikini Zone gel at the drugstore. It's for women when we shave, but it works great. You got a rash because you shaved dry - don't do that again.

the myth that hair from any part of your body grows back exponentially because you shave it off is just that a myth the true factors are hormones and whether or not your still growing(mid teens all the way into your 20s) there is no set time period that every person finishes puberty and you will see a increase in speed of facial hair growth the closer you get to peaking puberty. but once you do stop growing the level of hair growth will not be affected by things like frequency of shaving.

because it nubs for a while until grows a little longer. It softens after the nubs go away. Some like myself have to shave 2 times a day if going out in the evening because of the five o'clock shadow.

In addition to the above.........If you shave with a blade, or even some electric shavers, you can remove the top thin layer of daed cells on your skin, leaving 'live' skin underneath, which can irritate and bleed if left exposed. Use a good shaving cream, or with electric, a pre-electric shave lotion.

Good luck
