Week 1 - They squeaked by a Eagles team that self destructed and literaly fumbled that game away.

Week 5 - They lost to the 4-5 Bears at home.

Week 6 - They were shut down by the Redskins for over 3 quarters and were on the verge of losing until Sanata Moss fumbled and it was returned for a td.

Week 8 - Needed OT to beat the very bad 4-5 Broncos.

Yet people say that the Packers are better than the Cowboys who's average margin of victory is 14 points or more. Is responsible for 75% of the Giants losses. Is 5-0 on the road and has only lost to New England.

I would love to hear why you "think" the Packers are better than the Cowboys.

Fair enough slapshot. But just so you know these two teams are not even in many ways.

VJX are you kidding me? DO YOU ACTUALLY THINK GREEN BAY IS AS ANYWHERE AS GOOD AS THE COWBOYS? YOU NEED MEDICATION. The Packers have had most of their tough games or games that were supposed to be tough at home. Philly, SD , and Washington were at home and they all beat themselves as opposed to the Packers actually beating them. As for the Bears game it was AT HOME. The Cowboys self destructed on the ROAD and still won. And Denver is terrible this year.

muddyriverdogz - McNabb's best game was against the Lions and not Green Bay so you can scratch that first remark.

There was nothing big about playing the 3-3 Broncos at the time who's injury report reads like a grocery list for a family of 10. The Bronocos should have never been able to keep that game close if the Packers are as good as most claim them to be.

The Viqueens please. They beat a team wih no passing game and knocked out it best player. Ohhh tough one.

Nina my dear these two teams are not close.

Green Bay is just playing the right teams at all the right times. Don't set yourself up for major dissapointment later on in the season thinking they are better than they are.

Lets look at it a different way
Week 1 a young team steps out onto the field and plays against the best the Eagles QB has been all season.

Week 2 NG

Week 3 Chargers (who jist beat the Colts)

Week 4 Vikings a win but close

Week 5 Chicago they shouldnt have lost this game

Week 6 Redskins a win but close

Week 7 by week

Week 8 Denver in Denver on a big monday game

Week 9 Arrowheads in Arrowhead

Week 10 Vikes again with a shut out score of 34-0

This Team is so young its still developing but very rapidly and Brett Favre has put up more yards than Brady with these young recievers.Romo is ranked 4th in yards I believe.

GB's Defence is stout and they HURT people. In the playoffs when the flags quite being thrown for everything this D will be Brutal.

T-Rex it has nothing to even really do with who has played who it is How well the talented players from both teams match up AND GB MATCHES UP WITH DALLAS.

It will be a good game but GB has proven 1 thing they can find a way to win.luck is only in hand grinades and horseshoes.

I have asked some of my friends who are Packer fans the same question up until this week. They looked really good (regardless of what you think of the Vikes). The NFL like all other sport is loaded with professional athletes and any team can beat any team on any day. So to nit pick at the Packers wins isn't really fair. Every game is different so it is hard to say just because the games have been close for the Pack that they are a lucky team.

If you want to look at it that way, then the MN Vikings should be able to beat the NE Patriots because NE only beat the colts by 4 and the Chargers beat the Colts and MN kicked the crap out of the chargers. So that makes the Pack the best team in the NFL since they beat the Vikes.....

As you can see looking at the NFL in those terms is kind of ridiculous. Now that doesn't answer the question of is the Pack better than Cowboys...... Only time will tell Nov 29th to be exact.

I think, overall, they are close to even. Each team has their own strengths. I am a Packers fan in Texas & have a family full of Cowboy fans. I have to admit, early in the season I was wondering myself if it was luck for the Packers. Then, I started thinking, it must be b/c they haven't played any really hard teams. Now, at this point in the season, I honestly think they are a very good team. Sure, they would be better if they could run the ball better but, overall, they are a good team. I thought the Cowboys started out looking great early in the season but, in my opinion, they haven't looked as good during the last few games. I think the team that plays the hardest, w/ the least turnovers will win on the 29th.

As far as loosing to the Bears... that can easily happen to anyone in a rivalry game.

34-0 isn't luck. indeed, the offense has its struggles from time to time in a game, but it's their defense that keeps them in games. do you realize that the Packers are ranked #2 in total points allowed, trailing the Steelers by only 16 points? when the Packers offense does get into a rhythm, they are virtually unstoppable. alright, week 1: yes, the packers struggled, but it was week 1. they did squeek by that game, but good teams know how to finish. week 5: loss to the Bears, a division rival. rival teams know each other. yes, i know the Packers basically lost that game themselves with all the penalties, but with that very young team, it's bound to happen in a game. week 8: packers were able to move the ball without trouble through the game, but struggled to put up points in the 2nd quarter. their defense kept them in the game.

i'm not saying the Packers are better than the Cowboys, and i'm not saying the Cowboys are better than the Packers. in my opinion they are dead even. the cowboys have a better running game, but the Packers running game is finally coming along, having 2 100 yard rushing performances in the last 3 games. who is Favre's go to guy? Driver? come on. the packers have 5 receivers that rotate in and out getting an equal share of touches. you can't double team any single receiver or Favre will torch your defense by going somewhere else.

If you think the Cowboys are 10 times better than the Packers, than you just haven't paid attention. yes, the media tends to say it's Favre that gives them wins. indeed, Favre does make big plays every game, but it's their defense that is keeping them alive. 2 shutdown corners. AD, shutdown twice this year, now injured because of the Pack. Broncos (leading rushing team) had their running game shut down. Larry Johnson and Priest Holmes, shut down. LT, shut down.

the bottom line, it will be a good game between the Pack / Cowboys. the Packers defense will keep them alive if their offense is struggling. if the Packers offense is rolling, then the cowboys are in trouble. if the Packers roll on all cylinders like they did against Minnesota, every team they face will be in trouble. by the way, Favre even struggled early on passing, but it was their running game that picked up first downs.

34-0 proves you are a tough team, especially considering you shutdown the best rb in the league this year.

i think of success has slightly to do with it, yet fairly, who's enjoying at their point? particular, they beat the Saints by making use of outscoring them, however the D made a stand while it had to. as that's obvious the secondary possibly comfortable. however the D has playmakers and that i think of they are like +8 on turnovers, that's a super element. additionally, they have purely given up 3 factors interior the final 6 quarters. Rodgers is the ideal in an unstoppable offense, and Mason Crosby has been perfect. final analysis, they be attentive to a thank you to win. you could no longer assume them to pass sixteen-0 and beat anyone 40 8-10. this is the NFL. I do have faith they are going to in all likelihood get beat a minimum of as quickly as. Rodgers could have a bad pastime or maybe though. So we can see, i'm fairly apprehensive approximately enjoying at Minn with contemplate making his first initiate having in no way confronted him, and of direction A.P (the Rams ran alright). Then the difficult warring parties above pronounced.

There is no way that a team would win that much off pure luck. Yes, everyone gains and loses sometimes through luck, but GB is a skillful, great playing team

This is really funny to me.

Green Bay lost to Chicago because they shot themselves in the foot. Did you watch it? They had 5 turnovers and they still almost came back at the end. Chicago did not outplay them.

The Broncos are not "very bad."

You also conveniently left out Green Bay's win over San Diego. And their 22 point ROAD win against the Giants, which is more than Dallas ever beat them by. And manhandling Minnesota, who Dallas struggled with. And their ROAD win against the Chiefs. Green Bay is also undefeated on the road. But yeah, ignore that.

Didn't Dallas need a miracle to beat Buffalo?

And you people apparently know nothing. Look at Dallas' division? Uh, Green Bay is 3 - 0 against the NFC East. Brett Favre isn't that good? ... Yeah, you need medication.
