ridiculous arguments like "the Democrats want America to fail" or "the Democrats care about the terrorists' feelings"??

If that's what they really believed, do you really think half the country would really support them as poll after poll after poll indicates?? I have a lot of conservative views, but the intellectual dishonesty rampant among Republicans is what is destroying this country.

I never hear this kind of insanity from Democrats...the closest comparison you could make is when some people say that oil was the motivation for Iraq or that Bush is stupid, but both of these are at least quite possible and can be backed up with some evidence, and they do not generalize about the entire party...

Nobody has provided any valid examples...how does saying that global warming might be responsible for natural disasters compare with saying an entire party WANTS THE UNITED STATES TO FAIL!?

Republicans clearly have no idea how idiotic such statements actually sound to normal people

I'm sorry... you must be insane or you pay absolutely no attention to your candidates if you truly believe what you have written here. Everything form 9/11 to Katrina to the California wildfires has been blamed on Bush by the Left. I am not saying all Dems think like this but the ones in the spotlight sure do. You have no validity here. If you are going to spew your opinion on us all, so be it, however, if you rant with no evidence and are clearly WRONG, then you just look like a complete moron. I think you can see that from the majority of your answers here citing your question as ludicris!

Okay, you ask how the republicans can make Dems look like they want the country to fail over global warming? They Don't!!! They say the Dems want the US to fail because they keep saying we have LOST in Iraq! I have MANY loved one it Iraq and I can tell you that we are not losing, but all the Dems are saying we are. Look at the new 'Lambs' movie. Three big actors and it pulls in 6.5 million the first weekend???? The American people DO NOT want to hear this rehtoric! Enough is enough. It is time to realize that we need to finish Iraq and that is it! If we don't everything our troops have done and died for will be for naught because IRAN will move in and take over!!!
Also, as far as Global Warming is concerned, look up the following artical at http://icecap.us/index.php/go/joes-blog/comments_about_global_warming/

If you still believe in it after reading this artical, maybe you need to get a meterological degree and then work in the field for 50 years so that you can disproove the LIE that is global warming!!! We need to concentrate on the REAL issue like Radical Islamics and Iraq wanting NUKES so they can destroy Israel and the US before we care about something so false and at best mundane as Global Warming!!! If Iraq gets it's hands on NUKES, the last thing we will have to think about is global warming!!!!!!!

You claim that Republicans are intellectually dishonest, yet in the same paragraph say that you never hear the same kind of insanity from Democrats. That has to be one of the most intellectually dishonest things I have ever read.

How about liberals claiming that the wild fires in California are a direct result of George Bush failing to do anything about global warming? That is only a very recent example of democratic idiocy.

Intellectual dishonesty runs deep in politicians regardless of political affiliation.

I would suggest that you learn how to read a poll.... Half of the the country does not support democrats. If you have a poll that specifically says that, please cite it.

Be careful throwing stones in your glass house.

{edit}Oh, my bad, I thought you were asking this question to stimulate honest debate... obviously you are simply stirring up an inane argument.

My comment was meant purely to point out the idiocy of some in the democratic party. Sorry it doesn't fit your mold of what my response should have been.

I could give more global examples but I seriously doubt that they would matter. You obviously aren't interested in the debate.

Because the Republican Party appeals to the lesser educated aspect of society. And that is what they react to. These were the people that not too many years ago had jobs that paid next to nothing and were too busy a drinkin on a saturday night and a beaten up on their wives and children to take out their frustrations. Then the oil industry (among other low skill jobs) started booming and all of a sudden you could leave high school and get a job in the oil fields or whatever and make bank. So they kind of relaxed enough to start listening to AM radio and then the final wonderment, Fox News. All of a sudden they had money and stuff and their heroes started telling them that the liberals and minority's were gonna take it all away. So they started a votin and you got George Bush. And the stupid crap that they believe will go on. And as long as they can put lots of hamburgers in their stomachs and afford to fill up their SUV's they will be happy. The end.

the answer isn't any there'll not in any respect be an straightforward debate over the challenge because this style of large volume of have a lot to lose if there is. Your competition that White u . s . is in denial leaves out my competition that would also keep on with to assorted quarters in Black u . s .. there is more suitable than sufficient racial prejudice on each and each and every aspect. pointing out purely White u . s . purely is revealing.

Poll after poll...

Who cares?

You run niether a country nor a military campaign on a popularity poll.

Reliance on polls in not leadership.

Neither Democrats nor Republicans have cornered the market on stupidity, responsibility, leadership or negligence.

RE the post by Chris R - you are so correct. Nobody seems to pay any attention to the CFR, and unfortunately, the media are ignoring Dr. Paul. People do not want to hear the realities of the problems in the USA. It would require them to do something about them, and we know that since most of AMerica ( 70%) is obese, and that they don't respect themselves enough to be healthy, they have no interest in making AMerica a better place either. Ask around, how many of your friends and family can speak intelligently about even three issues?

Yes, Yahoo Democrats are a saintly bunch who would never generalize, provide ridiculous arguments, and be intellectually dishonest...

Please.

Stop trying to play victim and offer up something worthy of honest debate.

The keyword in your question is 'honest'. You can never have an honest debate with a Republican because they constantly use false facts and spin in their arguments. I will gladly take on any Republican in a debate with facts.

I hear it all the time from Democrats.

They smear and malign Republicans at every turn.

Try paying attention.

If the questions are legitimate then why run from them? I say this to both parties. Quit running and start answering the people, not just who you think might vote for you.
This might be the year I actually go third party.
