Pirate Queens, a book about Grace O'Malley and other women who ruled the seas over the years. It is taking me forever to finish but very interesting.

Several books on 9/11.
The saddest parts are the vivid accounts of some of the victims last moments.

My last read was "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. It was well written, but I dont feel like it was as good a book as most people said it was.

(I disagree with the guy above who commented on "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy...That was one of the most moving and poignant stories I've ever read...I'm still reeling over that one even months down the "The Road...")
But to answer your question...
Three books at the moment...
1. "Bel Canto" by Ann Patchett
2. "Olympos" by Dan Simmons...and...
3. "The Braindead Megaphone Essays" by George Saunders...
By the end of the week...those will be history...
Next?!?
