It's not fair, they get to go all over the region, country by country in an economic way and we're stuck here paying huge fees to go from one city to the next? At least a state rail or something, it's not fair, they have it so much better over there, we're getting screwed over here, big time. The United states of Europe are way better off than the United States of America. I know the region's, landwise is a lot bigger but if they could do it, we could too

There is a railpass for visitor to the continent.
You can choose between different kinds of passes.

I do not know if people living in North America can also use this pass.
But Europeans also do not use Eurail.
(But we have a different system, Interail.)

We already have a rail system, as limited as it is. Although I wouldn't mind seeing more investment in local rail options, it would cost far too much to invest in a country-wide rail system--we're simply not structured for it. In any case, as long as people keep developing land and letting sprawl get worse and worse and worse (which is almost non-existent in Europe, despite the amount of people living there), it will continue to be a problem. In any case, even now we still have some of the cheapest gas in the world; so unless you're driving an SUV or pick-up truck you don't need to a job 3 hours away, it's not that big a deal. Nobody should be working that far away from where they live anyway, especially if they do so by choice.

Beause the U.S. auto companies bought out the rairoads
so they could make everyone in the U.S. NEED a car to
get around. Pretty slick, huh?
