I think the red hot chili peppers, rage against the machine, nirvana, metallica, the fray, NIN are way better bands than the stupid beatles

You my friend are the most ignorant person i have ever come across. for one none of those bands (Who are all good bands with the exception of the fray what the hell were you thinking adding them to that list) would even be here if the Beatles hadn't revolutionized music. Second you are comparing apples and oranges the Beatles were literally making number one hits before any of those guys were born. You are comparing bands that have a thirty year span in between them. Third they have had more number one hits than ANY other band in history. The nation wept when John Lennon died the fray could fall of the face of the planet and nobody would notice. You may not like the Beatles but that is your own fault you need to take a long look at your life and maybe discover some music that has meaning beyond the lyrics. Suggested Music to expand your narrow horizons: Rolling Stones, Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors, Lynarrd Skinnard, or more recently Live.

The Beatles, each member, were prolific song writers for not only themselves, but other artists as well. They knew how to put a song over in spite of their less than excellent voices. They began a new revolution in rock music that is emulated by many artists today, including, but not limited to some of the bands you, yourself like. Over 40 years after their beginning, their music still influences the artists of today. The bands you cite as being "better," the hard rock "noisy" bands you speak of, will come and go and frankly, in my opinion, will never reach the success that the Beatles have known.

You must be young bro...If you ask anyone of those groups who has been an influence on their music. The one common factor would be the Beatles. You need to understand how much quality music those dudes put out. Not just there early stuff. Man you are into quality with all those bands you just listed. You'll get into the Beatles soon enough.

I think that in about 42 years people will still know who the Beatles are and STILL like their music but few will recall the others you mentioned. That's why the Beatles are better and why people love them. If it weren't for them those other groups probably wouldn't exist.

Seeing as the Beatles broke up in 1969 (38 years ago) and your still asking questions about them says it all.

While I don't like the Beatles for their music, I do have to appreciate their talent and originality. Those of us who grew up after the Beatles-mania tend to forget that we have the Beatles to thank for a lot of different ideas and trends in rock and roll...including the popularity of rock and roll itself.

Some people like Lawrence Welk, no accounting for taste, but even he plays Beatles songs. Yeah Yeah Yeah

The Beatles are one of the bands that started it all. They invited a new genre almost. There might not be those bands if it wasn't for the Beatles (and i love all those bands too).

Great band,,,,no fake stuff here...or sounds made only for the studio...they could get on stage and sound just like the recorded....no gimmicks,,,,the real thing and their songbook,,,has to be one of the most prolific around....I though Paul was the cutest,,but John was the driving personality behind that band....

Ya know...I don't really like the Beatles. But I can respect them. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have a lot of the music we have today. They definately influenced a lot of the bands we listen to today.
