1. He is probably lying to get more money from you.

2. If anyone ask you about it, just tell them you had no idea.

Absolutely nothing. They just fill out a form with the date and time that they received the bill and turn it in when they deposit it and the bank takes care of the rest. It would be different if you bought a car with cash and paid with bogus $100.00 bills, then they'd call the SS on you. But there are tons of fake fives, tens and twenties around. Sometimes, you get one as change.

Probably nothing. A single counterfeit note passed means you are a victim, just like everyone else.

However, if you get caught a few times, it means you may be involved and will almost certainly get in trouble.

So just in case you are not telling us the full story here, I highly recommend you destroy any remaining fake notes, plus whatever method you may have manufactured or received them. Not accusing you or anything. Just giving some advice.

Good luck with the "I didn't know it was fake" defense. If your friend tries to pass it off, of course, he or she will be in big trouble. If, instead, he or she reports it to police and you're implicated, it'll start to get ugly.

Your best bet is get the fake money back by replacing it with real cash.

Good luck.

in case you take advantage of a bill understanding it really is fake you'd be reprimanded. in case you imagine a bill will be fake, you should purchase a bill marker. If the marker turns a particular colour on the bill, it really is fake. probability is someone is basically having a foul day and lost their money notwithstanding.

Twice you state you bought "something". Something legal? or illegal?

I doubt he will rat on you if he sold something illegal. But you never know.

First he would have to prove that the bill was given to him by you. All you have to say (and stick to, no matter what), "not mine".
