Actually, yes. They were issued in countries such as India, never in the USA, of course. There were also some pre-Beatles 78s with Beatles members.

Not in the USA, but I think there were in other country's, back then they got better sound from a faster recorded track, but it took up to much space on a record so finally everybody went to the 33 1/3 record, it held more songs!

I doubt it very much. 78 records were rarely used. I only saw Beatles records in 45 and 33 formats.

you mean 78 rpm? No. Beatles music came out in the early 1960's - 78 rpm had already gone the way of the buffalo by then.
