our school has computers with windows XP and rm software built in, i've managed to hack the windows 98 ones but now theyve upgraded, i cant hack it is very frustrating. any help would be awesome. cheers, Leo.

I cracked the Windows 98 ones 9 years ago, they were easy. I also changed the boot sequence so it formatted the hard drive instead of starting Windows. I was sick of the teachers blaming me for everything that went wrong with the computers so I did that - and they couldn't blame me because I wasn't even there when the dumb teacher switched it on and wiped it XD.
And before you legal brigade tell me off, I was only 9!
Windows XP... not sure about the NT kernel because 98 was DOS based. Try pressing F8 as Windows starts and booting to safe mode, you can do a bit of damage in there. Also try generic passwords for the 'manager' account. 'changeme' was the password at my school 10 years ago, but that's a long while ago.

A) it is not a stable concept to try this. B) you may lose all your workstation utilization for relax of the time you're a student in that school district. C) in the journey that your hacking damages the college's device you'll be charged with against the regulation and could could pay the college for the wear completed.

You could use a Linux crack CD to crack the pass. However, I'm not sure how this could not be noticed...
