My room is about 75ish feet from where my internet is... are they any wireless that can reach that far and still have good connection? I bought one for $80 but it only works (good) for about 20 feet. If there is how much would it cost? Thanks.

You need a range booster. Separate device that can grab the signal and retransmit so it will reach. Sort of like a daisy chain.

I like D-Link the best. I ran the new Wifi-N DIR-655 over 300 feet distance (house to house). The signal had to leave my house which has regular walls but for it to reach the computer in the next house, it had to go through 2-2.5 foot thick walls made of straw, wood, stucco and steel mesh, then through the washer/dryer, a stand up freezer, a bathroom with piping all through the walls and the kitchen on the other side of that where the stove, fridge and sink is, then through a soup cupboard full of metal cans and it still got a signal. No five bars, but it worked.

You'd probably be safe with a D-Link Wifi G with Rangebooster. You can always install repeater antennae too if needed.

This is probably a better question for the Hardware section but I would venture to say that you should check out the Pre-N wireless products from D-Link. The model in question is the DI-625 I think. N networks as opposed to B and G networks have greater range.

Cheers

Depends on what is between your room and where the "internet is". Wireless signals don't pass through brick walls, steel beams, steel reinforced concrete etc.. very well.

There are some that can go up to 150ft.

I live in the UK and they are £150! or $300!
