Have you heard the song Numb by Linkin Park well that is me ever since my parents got a divorce! My mom keeps pushing me to do things like get an a plus report card or your grouned/ She wants me to be gurly and me for one wants to be punk. Please help me in a way that is not harsh to try and tell her i am doing the best i can.

you have to tell her just that, and you have to try and understand that in her own way not matter how pushy it is shes only wanting the best for you.

She thinks if you "look" a certain way, you will "act" a certain way.
There is nothing wrong with experimenting with different looks, that is all part of being a teenager.
My advice to you is this- try to keep your grades up and she may be a little more forgiving on the "punk" style you wish to dress.

You need to accept the fact that this has nothing to do with you. You may be suffering from the delusion that you could have done something different and things would not have turned out this way. But the fact is you are in no way responsible.
