i am not a notre dame fan but
why do so many people hate notre dame, they are a big part of what made college football what it is today
why do so many people want to see them fail
don't you love the game of college football?
and at least their fans still come to the games
not like some of these fair weathered fans are for a lot of teams

the atmosphere for a notre dame game is unreal... put any of these notre dame bashers in south bend on a saturday and it would help them understand why there is still a lot of pride for the irish.

Don't forget to give the US Navy credit, too. They kept Notre Dame going during WWII. Who knows what would have happened if they didn't.

Yeah the crowd are pretty consistent win or lose which I'm impressed with. I used to watch the Irish when Rocket Ismail was playing and the games were pretty unreal no matter who their opponent was. That are such a bad team but the fans are devoted. They ARE true fans.

It's like a train wreck, you just can't look away. Plus people are there to see history, the worst team ND has ever had.

People who hate them don't understand the history and the fact that they ARE the most storied college football team in the NCAA...They're just now bashing them because they are having a down year...

That is how real fans are! They stay loyal however their team does! They dont go jumping on another teams bandwagon when they lose!!

They are very storied, but I wouldn't go as far as 'most storied.' They have good and loyal fans, no doubt about it.
