I did this with my daughter a while back and it is pretty simple. You will need a flat rock, a PLASTIC container (the instructions were very clear about that, I guess glass or metal react with the solution) and 1 cup and 1 tablespoon of boiling water. Also, the container needs to be deep, but small, if that makes sense; we found that the crystals will only grow as high as the water level, so if you use a shallow pan you will get very small crystals.
So anyway....put the rock in the bottom of the container and heat the water in another pan. When it boils, pour the water in, then sprinkle a few of the growth crystals on top of the rock. Cover the container and let it sit for about 15 minutes, then open it and pour in the rest of the crystals. After that, you just let them grow. It will take a few days, since it depends on evaporation.
Also, if you don't like the way the crystals come out, you can disolve them and start over (we did this twice, just for fun).

It should have everything you need, including instructions. Are the instructions missing?
