Ok, there so many little things about him that makes him a below average NFL head coach. Unfortunately he's not going anywhere as long as AJ Smith is the GM. Norv has to be fired. He's a offensive coordinator and should stay that way. Bring back Cowher! The Chargers are lucky that won that game against the Colts. Why did he make challenges he knew that he would lose?

Okay, here's what I propose:

Norv Turner SHOULDN'T be fired, however, he should be demoted to an Offensive Coordinator because that's where he is at his best. Fire the current OC. Fire Ted Cottrell and move Ron Rivera up to a Defensive Coordinator position.

Force either Marty Schottenheimer or Bill Cowher out of retirement and into the head coaching position.

Problem solved.

What they should've done in the first place was they should've hired Wade Philips as head coach and not let him go to Dallas.

Norv Turner isn't fooling ANYBODY in San Diego. Marty Schottenheimer was fired PURELY due to politics. You're right, Norv Turner is a great offensive coordinator and a HORRIBLE coach (look at his record). Last night proves it. You lead the Super Bowl champions 23-0 and let them come back? Not to mention what the guy is doing to our players. He is uninspiring, and Phillip Rivers is clearly regressing as a quarterback. It absolutely SUCKS seeing a team with so much tallent and potential flap around like a shark that's been thrown on the beach. Once a mighty predator that the entire league feared, we're completely helpless. Unfortunately as long as AJ Smith is general manager, nothing will change. So I say FIRE the guy and hire on one of the following guys to be both general manager AND head coach to run the entire thing:

* Jimmy Johnson?
* Bill Cowher?
* Bill Parcels?
* MARTY SCHOTTENHEIMER?

(don't forget the tar and feathers for Norv Turner, his entire coaching staff, and most importantly AJ Smith)

The Chargers made a big mistake by firing Schottenheimer but they made an even bigger mistake by hiring Turner. This guy is a terrible head coach but he is an excellent offensive coordinator. Just look at the niners offense without him its been awful. The Chargers were a super bowl caliber team last year and would have made it if they would have been in the NFC and Norv has done everything in his power to mess this team up. I really don't understand how he can do so bad with such a good team.

I don't know how many chances this guy is going to get. He never should have gotten the job in the first place. This is what happens when an organization fires somebody for going 14-2. It was almost like he tried to lose that game last night, only the Colts wanted the loss a little bit more. That game was garbage.

Sad to see the Chargers losing since firing their best coach in years. Unbelievable. San Diego has to be the most foolish team in the league (at least from a GM standpoint). Talent alone will not take them back to elite status. They might not even win their own division after the record they had last year and returning the players they had from last year. I wish them good luck, but they blew it.

If they fire anyone, fire the GM.

The Chargers are getting just what they asked for. They hired a proven loser coach and expected him to win. Spanos should come out of his coma and fire AJ Smith for acting like a child, then Norvy and his crew. Make a public apology to Marty and then do whatever you have to to hire Cowher for next year.

Firing Marty was a joke, the Chargers were my AFC team and now I can't watch what this Norv Turner is doing to the team.

I have so much hate for Norv Turner and I need to see him out next season along with the GM... I also dislike our quarterback Philip Rivers, he plays worse than a secondary, I mean he can't even throw a decent long pass!

Norv Turner made really pointless challenges and wasted our timeouts which just pissed me off... I can't stand him anymore I want him out now

After the season the Chargers had last year, I couldn't figure out why Shottenheimer was fired. It seems he is the missing link to the Chargers being the team they were last year.

Yes, he should. He took a 14-2 team and has squandered an opportunity that all coaches hope for...coming into a situation where you have all the pieces needed to win.
