1. Patriots: Obvious
2. Packers: Now I know Dallas fans are going to whine about this, but the Packers have a running game finally, and not a bad way to display it against the 2nd ranked run defense. Their team is complete now.
3. Cowboys: Their offense is only rivaled by the Patriots and Colts (when healthy), but i'm still not sold on that defense. We have seen you can pass on them, and their run defense is inflated because of it (News to Dallas, Tank Johnson was a 4-3 DT for a reason). Their offense wins the games but the defense doesn't help that much. They're a very good team and have tough games ahead to prove it.
4. Colts: Yeah we can rant about Manning, but what a performance by the Colts D to keep them in it. When your down to your 3rd string Left Tackle and missing 3 of your weapons, thats tough. They will be better when healthy.
5. Steelers: Very good team, but not great as we would say New England Green Bay Indy or Dallas. Very consistent but that defense isn't as great as advertised.
PS To the people who are saying Dallas has played better people or strength of schedule, I don't think its good when 3 teams account for 21 losses and 2 teams account for 15 wins, just a hunch.

I think you nailed it...
1. Pats-Obviously knocking everyone around except the Colts, but still beat them
2. Packers-Best team in the NFC...Favre is far from washed up
3. Cowboys-Really good, but I don't know if Romo can lead them all the way yet...I must admit, I thought Wade Phillips was overrated...I guess I was wrong
4. Colts-Struggling since losing to the Pats and now the Chargers
5. Steelers-Tomlin is a rookie coach with a talented team-could be interesting, but I don't see them getting past the Colts or Pats in the playoffs...

I'd say you were dead on as far as the 5, tabi.....Other than the Patriots, the order could change depending on a bunch of variables.....
Everybody has an opinion, but if this isn't your top 5 your kidding yourself.....
My pick:
1)Pats
2)Cowboys
hmmm.....
Last three are harder than I would have thought...GB has to beat Dallas, the Colts have to be healthy, and the Steelers need to play as a team, Big Ben can't carry them all the way every week...
...Ok,
3)Colts
4)Packers
5)Steelers
Sorry for the long winded, roundabout answer......Don't like Dallas up there at #2, but there they are..Can't take it away from them....Until they hit the AFC, they won't be tested, except by Green Bay....

In order...
1. Pats - Elite, #1
2. Colts - Also elite, #1A
3. Cowboys - Firing on all cylinders. Never out of it with Romo at QB. Defense rounding into form.
4. Steelers - Great defense, have guys who have done it before.
5. Packers - Very, very good defense to go with Favre's resurgence. If the running game comes around, look out...

4. Cotls 7-2 Team is showing it's age.
5. Packers 8-1 Could just as easily by 5-4 right now.

PATRIOTS-b/c they have not lost but they will & they will not make it to the superbowl b/c there’s just too much hype politics
COWBOYS-best stats combined in the NFL & they actually had a chance to beat the PATS but something crazy happened
PAKERS-BRET FARVE and they have somehow beaten everyone but 1 team
COLTS- they still have the second best high powered offense & will be even better when HARRISON comes back but there will not be a superbowl this year
STEELERS- they are somehow playing great now & if they keep this up they will roll right over the PATS & will represent the AFC in the superbowl
SUPERBOWL PICKS: DALLAS COWBOYS & STEELERS or BROWNS (yes I said it)

1. Patriots - no explanation needed
2. Colts - Last night was a fluke, and they are pretty banged up right now with players sitting out
3. Cowboys - They have excellent offensive weapons and their defense is pretty damn good too.
4. Steelers - Their offense is starting to be pretty consistant and their defense is atop the league
5. Green Bay - Brett "Mississippi" Farve is having an excellent season. If Grant continues to run hard and gives this team a ground game, then they will be very very hard to beat down the stretch.

I think you've really hit the nail on the head with your choices!
I think the Colts showed that they were in deed "human" last night! Don't expect too much more fom Green Bay though...in my opinion a team like the pack will fade back and you may see another sleeper like Cleveland take over a top 5 spot before this is all said and done. Seriously, Cleveland has a talented QB, brusing RB in Lewis and a soon to be star WR in Edwards.

I absolutely despise the Pats but I have no choice but to put them at the top.
1. New England Patriots : for obvious reasons
2. Indianapolis Colts : Face it, no one can compete with these 2 teams week in and week out.
3. Dallas Cowboys : What's not to love about these Cowboys.
4. Green Bay Packers : The Pack are for real and their D is great.
5 : Pittsburgh Steelers : As far as the AFC goes the Steelers are the best 2nd tier team. Their D is great, their offense is clutch, and they never lose on the road.
