I personally know that some church ministers will not marry you until you go through a pre-marriage counselling service usually takes up to three months. I agree with you
alot of people seem to brush off marriage and the importance of it and if there was a longer period for them to wait for a license or to get married like get rid of all these stupid chapels in Las Vegas. Really if people started to look at marriage from there grandparents point of view we would such a different society.

I think seriously though that to get divorced there must be a valid and just reason before you could get divorced. That you must go through couples counselling prior too talking to a lawyer about divorce for atleast a 6 month period. I also think things would change if people were fined if they ran away from the marriage without just cause. Since I'm discussing fines why not a five thousand dollar fine if you are caught cheating on your spouse maybe that would make people steer away from adultery.

May God Bless You and your Family and Best Wishes in Life.

Important question!

Yes I think it should be harder to get a marriage license! Poeple do not take marriage seriously anymore. They go to Vegas and get married drunk and then get it annuled the next day. It's a joke! I think there would be a lot less divorce if people took marriage more seriously! AND I think in the premarriage classes you should sign a prenup so if you get divorced it cant be nasty nasty cause too many people abuse they system anymore!

It should be harder. where i livethey do have marriage course. If you choose not to take it, the license costs much more. I think a 3 month course would be great.

They should charge you $10,000 for a marriage license and $10 for a divorce. You would sure think about marrying someone a lot more if you had to put up 10 grand beforehand.

YES! Marriage license and divorces should not be too easy. It seems like we put more thought and work into auto purchases than we do marriages and divorces.

No, it shouldn't be any harder than it is now. We don't live in the police state, thank lord. No need for the "big brother" watching over our shoulder.
