Well, I am not a Buckeye fan instead I root for LSU. However, I have always enjoyed watching Big-10 football because like SEC it is smash-mouth football and there is nothing better.
As far as OSU and Michigan, when both teams were healthy I thought OSU was the better team. The reason for that is I thought OSU executed on both sides of the ball more consistently. Now with Henne and Hart banged up I think OSU has a significant edge on Big Blue. Not too mention the pressure is on Carr.
I think Tressel with have the Buckeyes ready to play and they should salvage a Big-10 championship and a trip to the Rose Bowl. Not a bad year.
Now, look out for them next year because they lose 2 starters on offense and one on defense.
Now how is that coming from an SEC fan. I just happen to love college football.
P.S. - Hats off to Zook. I thought Florida treated him quite rudely but I am sure somewhere down the road he will have the last laugh. He is one heck of a recruiter.

well the game was a disappointment because even though we lost we truly should have had a better game than that ie 3 interceptions and our defense was not as stellar as they usually are. but the fact of the matter is we were ranked #11 at the start of the season and NO ONE expected them to have the great year that they have had, NO ONE expected them to make a run at the National Title Game. if losing 1 game makes us over rated then perhaps we should look around at lsu, usc, michigan, flordia, etc. and what i find truly funny is all the mich fans running their mouths. hello you are 8 and 3 and you lost to a div 2 school and b4 the season started all everyone did was talk sh!t about how great mich would be and how they would make a run at the national title and somehow they still find reason to run their mouths. i cant wait til NOV 17th. we lost illnois played a great game thats football thats the way it goes, regardless our buckeyes have had a great season and much to be proud of!
we dont rebuild we just reload

yes The Ohio State Buckeyes 'just reload', however, even as GOOD as Ohio High School Football IS, (and it IS the BEST in the United States) those froshmen STILL have to gain experience on the college level...
You know, LAST year the Buckeyes had a great run, but their defense stumbled a bit against meeeeeeechiGONE, and fell flat against floriduh...
At the end of THIS year, will the Buckeyes defense show the same inability to FINISH the season?!
As for this loss to ILLiNOISE, i think our quarterback Boeckmann slipped back to the level he played at the beginning of the year, making some POOR choices of throwing into coverage...
And, WHY did Ohio State abandon the RUNNING game?
All around, ILLiNOISE just outplayed Ohio State; they played tougher and harder and they FINISHED the game off...
My Buckeyes did NOT earn themselves any respect whatsoever by their lack of effort as a TEAM.
i still love the Buckeyes, and they will ALWAYS be my team.

I thought that game was pretty hard to watch. I'm not taking anything away from the Illini, they've come a long way. But, the defense got smoked. Where were they. I don't think the Illini are the better team, but they definately played the better game. Oh well. Bucks better have it together on Saturday or I'll be getting a big blue M tattoo'd on my a**.

I am definitely a Buckeyes fan, and I'm definitely disappointed. But I don't feel we lost to the better team, I feel like we just beat ourselves. We played terribly, and I guess we deserved to lose when we played that badly.

I agree. It was a rebuilding year, but we still got Michigan, the Rose Bowl and "next year". Before the season, I thought we'd lose 2-3 games. We had a good run, though. No matter how many games the Bucks win, or who they beat, they will never get credit anyways.

its natural to grieve for a few days after suffering a tragic loss. surprised i havent seen more illini fans popping up. probably waiting for next year...when they win the big 10 :) the game next week means everything for both teams. i would say 24-21, but i dont know who wins, its just gonna be close. as long as everyone is healthy. if hart or henne are hurt, buckeyes win by a touchdown...
oh yeah
GO ILLINI

all and sundry that asserts the large 10 is vulnerable is familiar with no longer something approximately college soccer. large 10 ruled college soccer for many of years, and now it somewhat is time for yet another convention to step in. that's how issues artwork.

im a true BLUE fan and i do hate ohio fake i mean state but they had a nice lil run but blew it against a team they should have beat by far (just like my team should have beat app state)
hopefully michigan beat ohio state but i wont hold my breathe
oh yea Ron Zook for big ten coach of the year

heres my opinion...it was a disappointing loss to say the least...but weve had a great year so far and still hav a chance to win the big ten and go to a bcs game...especially considering this was supposed to be a "rebuilding" year and next year was supposed to be our year
