I have a silver jeep and I recently scraped up against the garage on accidient. There are no dents, but there is some paint that looks like I can scrap it off. Is there a good way to do this without hurting the paint underneath? Any products that will help it or utensil that will safely remove the paint?

Rubbing compound---it's like a gritty paste. Parts stores carry it. Apply a little bit at a time and rub off the paint transfer, then rewax when done. A detail shop can do it if you're unsure.

Use a cleaner wax and elbow grease. Depending on the amount of paint as to how long it will take. If you get a Random Orbit buffer from Pep Boys or some other store it'll take a lot less time. Buffing the wax on and off will be much faster than by hand. I've used this method numerous times. It even works for paint that got on from someone spraying nearby.

each and every from time to time you could basically scrape it off inclusive of your fingernail. otherwise get some wax and start up buffing it with a rag. in case your hubby asks, basically tell him that it ought to've been a yellow automobile that hit yours at the same time as it changed into sitting in a carpark!! I had a baby brush hostile to my 'sixty 5 mustang one time - it left a white streak down one aspect (my automobile is black). He lived proper next door - I talked about his white automobile sitting there, and walked over and looked at the front bumper - and particular sufficient, there turned right into a scuff on it. The paint got here off my mustang extremely actual, yet I went over and woke him up besides, and informed him i doesn't be mad if he had basically informed me instead of pretending like it did not take position. He changed into very apologetic, so he were given to keep his enamel.
