Whether you vote for a Right Wing money grubbing baffon, or a Left Wing homo supporting chimp, will it effect the way that you live your day to day life? I see where people become so enthralled with trying to prove why their side is the right one that they don't read between the lines and see that we are all getting screwed by our government. There will be so much money being spent on this election and we still have people that will be without a roof over their heads or food in their bellies. The cost of oil will only continue to go up and instead of buring methane, which is produced in every landfill all accross this great rock, we are going to keep killing brown people accross the world because we need the rights to that damned oil.

Americans will keep baa-ing like the sheep they are and not speak up with a thundering roar that would shake our nation's capital to the core. We need the spirit of 1776!!!!

So how will the outcome of the next election effect you?

1. The Supreme Court
2. Hillary and her road to Socialist Health Care
3. The Tax Spike that is coming if a Democrat is elected
4. Congressional inactivity on curbing spending
5. Losing the War
6. Global Warming Freaks who prevent Drilling in the United States for oil and denial of Nuke power plants in favor of wind and solar power, Nukes have little carbon footprint.
7. Carbon Credits forced on people when there is not a one to one exchange. See Waste Management and how the are frauding the program.
I have no candidate yet so I am considering someone on the right to continue the war, develop all energy options to get us off the foreign supply of energy, shore up the economy by reducing the debt all americans are carrying through economic Growth and purge the government of the dead wood working there now with a special focus on the State department culling out hold over liberals who refuse assignment in Iraq

It will not effect it right away. But over time, as rights are chipped away life styles will be forced to change.

"We can't be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans to legitimately own handguns and rifles...that we are unable to think about reality."
President Bill Clinton, USA Today, March 11. 1993

"I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."  James Madison

Presidential candidates have very different views on domestic and economic policy, but their actions are constrained by congress and public opinion so the difference they can make in policy is small. However in matters foreign policy and questions of war and peace they have enormous power to exercise their judgment and mistakes can be very costly and can even put your life at risk.

Looks like I'm the only one who read your post. I agree we are getting screwed regardless of party. My theory is there is only one party, it has 2 faces for the people's sake so they can think there is a difference but in reality they are being influenced by corporations and only need our votes to make it look like we are still a democracy instead of a corporatocracy, wake up America, the wolves aren't just at the door, they've invaded our homes too. Thanks to the Patriot act.

Yes, if Hillary is elected,
I will sell everything except my boat and 1 bike.
Buy a bunch of dive gear,
and go start a small business in some banana republic
At least if it is successful, I wont have to give away profits for making too much. I can save $ by bribing the local government with donations. Oh crap, the Chinese already did that

Your right , Cost will go up regardless, we will get less for our money. The war will go on.
I don't see any heroes coming.
The only thing I see is I will become more depressed with our government

Surprisingly Yes! Going by Hillary Clinton has said if she is elected then my taxes will go up to pay for socialized medicine that will fail.
My 401k will lose value as she confiscates excessive wealth from companies that I've invested in.
My country will lose credibility as we turn our back on our friends in Iraq and that will make an attack more likely on American soil.
I will be embarrassed as our new first Gentlemen begins his shenigans again.

I'm sure that you're hoping to make the point that no matter who is elected the same things will happen. So........ if it doesn't matter then let me suggest that we elect another Republican in order to keep government divided. Remember it doesn't matter.

By the way, baffon is spelled bufoon.

Yep. If a democrat is elected I'll have much less money of MY money to spend on essentials for my family like health care and education.

As to your point about 'we still have people that will be without a roof over their heads or food in their bellies' show me one. (There are only 150,000 or so homeless in the entire country and every one of them has food, shelter and medical care that they CHOSE not to take advantage of.) This is America, homeslice, not Nigeria and there is no one going without a roof over their head, food in their belly or even adequate medical care.

But good try. You almost made a good point.

If Hillary is elected it will. Here are a few of her quotes....

"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good" 6/29/2004

"It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, and for the few...and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity." 5/29/2007

"(We)...can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people." 6/4/2007

"I certainly think the free-market has failed." 6/4/2007

I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy that they are being watched." 9/2/2005

"We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own...in order to create this common ground." 6/4/2007

"Fairness doesn't just happen. It requires the right government policies."

"it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity."

If a Democrat is elected I'll have less money in my pocket. If a Republican is elected I'll have more. More money in my pocket makes quite a difference on day to day life.
