It's been in the works for a while, and should roll out in 2009:

Yes, I would like for a baseball channel to be made. They can call it, MLB Network. They have one for the NFL, NBA, and recently, the NHL. Why not MLB?

BASEBALL HAS MORE FANS THEN THE NBA, has TV relized that?
A MLB station would be so cool. The MLB has staidum attendance that is rising rapidly and a MLB station would be good for the fans, as well as the station provider.

This would be great! The only channel that comes close is the YES channel but if you're not a Yankee fan it really doesn't do you any good. Hopefully it's in the works.
Now that I live in Florida, I wish I could get the YES channel.

I thought they tried that before and it bombed! Of course, if it was marketed like the NHL Channel is, I wouldn't be surprised.

i think that would be an amazing idea. i would probably watch it all day if there was one. it would also keep me busy through the offseason too, because then i could still keep up with what's going on.
