The ship Titanic is named for the titans. Also the word means huge because the titans were huge. The product called Herculiner is a plastic protective layer that can be sprayed onto the beds of pickups to protect the truck bed matirial. Named after Hercules. An atlas is named after the titan Atlas who carried the whole world on his shoulders. In roman mythology Flora is the goddess of flowers and spring. Today flora is the term for plant life. Here's a good one. Hygeia is the greek goddess of heath and hygene. According to mythology, she kept a pet snake. You may have noticed that hospitals, ambulances and pharmacies use a symbol of a snake or two wrapped around a staff? That's hygeia's snake and her father's staff.
