Yes. I think ghosts haunt any area where they died without closure and don't realize they're dead, or they refuse to move on.

Ghost can really haunt any place they wish to. If you watch ghosthunters they go to haunted places and look for the paranormal. Its on SCFI on Wednesday nights all night. You might be thinking that its not real because its on tv. Well, they started it before it was on tv, so it is real.

I believe that it is possible, my great uncle was a merchant marine, and when he died he was cremated & had his ashes depositied at specific coordinates out at sea where one of his ships went down during ww2 he was rescued, and all the survivors vowed to be buried at sea in the same manner... so that they could "rest with their mates" My great uncle was not really a terribly superstitous man, but he utterly believed it...
