Or is her voting record one of a centrist? Are there sites that guage such things, to say who is the most / least left or right leaning Senator/Representative?
I am not a fan of Hillary, but in 2004 (many on) the right said "Look at JOHN KERRY'S voting record. He is as Liberal as they get."
I am just curious if the same standard can be applied if Hillary gets the Dem's nod in 2008.

Thank You!

She voted for the war so anybody who has berated bush for Iraq will not vote for hillary. Unless they are a hypocrites.

What indicates she is far left is her PROPOSALS not her voting record.

She voted yes on the Patriot act twice and the resolution to give Bush the authority to use force against Iraq. Recently she voted as the only Democratic candidate to label the Iranian Republican guard as a terrorist organization. That's not the voting record of a far left liberal at all. all votes are recorded and are public knowledge.... though I would have to search to find out were and it's really just a judgment call as to whether or not you call them centrist or leftist on their past... though, with the exception of a few votes, most of the talk I've heard from non-biased people has been slightly left of center.

Shes not a liberal, she is a centrist, and in her party shes slightly to the right in matters of war and security.
Recognizing we have a problem with Social Security and the distribution and affordability of health care seems to be the main reasons you get such venom. I can only assume we have some insurance company shills here as most normal people know there is a problem both with insurance companies dumping the people who need them and others not getting in at all.
It seems to me that recognizing that we have problems within the system is a smart move, pretending that a free market will solve them is sticking ones head in the sand.
She has received considerable funding from various business groups and they wouldn't be doing that if they truly thought she'd be screwing them over once in office.

That oft quoted we are going to take things away from you relates to her disgust over the increasing profits big oil was/is making on the backs of people who are paying the price for their lack of interest in bringing heating and gasoline within the affordability of the great middle class. She was speaking to the oil companies.
They have posted enormous profits on the backs of every American.

Her own words...

"We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good" 6/29/2004

"It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few, and for the few...and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity." 5/29/2007

"(We)...can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people." 6/4/2007

"I certainly think the free-market has failed." 6/4/2007

I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy that they are being watched." 9/2/2005

"We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own...in order to create this common ground." 6/4/2007

"Fairness doesn't just happen. It requires the right government policies."

"it's time to replace an "on your own" society with one based on shared responsibility and prosperity."

they don't declare to be all that different from one yet another. it rather is only that good now as a manner to seem to be greater acceptable than the different candidate they're throwing dirt at one yet another.

In politics, left-wing, political left, leftism, or simply the left, are terms that refer (with no particular precision) to the segment of the political spectrum typically associated with the 4 strains of socialism: Social-democrats, Greens, Communists and Anarchists.

Which of these left movements do you mean?

Actually in the past few years, Hillary has been more a conservative than some of the Republicans.

Maybe she is returning to her roots in the Republican party, after all she was a Republican.

Her voting record and stated opinions show that she is a conservative Democrat or fairly moderate Senator.

Early Cuyler - Why do you say things like that? You know it isn't true. Don't you know that by deliberately posting things easily proved false, you are lowering your credibility and the credibility of the Republican party? And do you really think that the Republican party can afford to have their credibility even lower than what it already is?

According to snopes.com, Republicans are full of it.
